LotteryDay

Directions for this Extension Activity:

In this activity, students will plan how they would use a set amount of imaginary lottery winnings. Students will receive a fictional lottery amount and divide the money among categories such as spending, saving, and donating. Students will use math and reasoning to justify their choices. Once completed, students will present their budget to the class and explain the reasoning behind their financial decisions.

Incorporating Bankability:

Throughout this activity, students can earn dollars for staying on task, budgeting their imagined lottery winnings, presenting to the class, and helping their peers during the activity. This encourages participation, positive behavior, and peer support. Current Bankability users can integrate these earnings into their classroom economy. No Bankability account?
