Ice Cream Shop

Directions for this Extension Activity:

In this activity, students will plan an imaginary trip to the ice cream shop with a set amount of money. Students must choose their size, cone type, and toppings while staying within their budget. Using math and reasoning skills, students will calculate the total cost and determine if they stayed within their budget. After completing their scenarios, students will present their ice cream creation and budget breakdown to the class, justifying their decisions based on cost, taste, and value.

Incorporating Bankability:

Throughout this activity, students can earn dollars for staying on task, presenting to the class, and helping their peers during the activity. This encourages participation, positive behavior, and peer support. Current Bankability users can integrate these earnings into their classroom economy. No Bankability account?
