National Disability Employment Awareness Month Activity
In this activity, students will explore how disability-related expenses impact monthly budgeting. Students will be given a fictional profile that outlines key aspects of this person’s life, including their income, living situation, disability-related needs, and personal goals. Using this information, students will create a realistic monthly budget that accounts for basic living costs as well as specific disability-related expenses such as transportation, assistive technology, and medical expenses.
