Immediate Feedback: Wrap Up

In the Wrap Up, the teacher will recap how much money has been earned throughout the lesson by calling out student names and their earnings that have been tracked using the Teacher Dollar Tracker. Teachers use the Teacher Dollar Tracker (or have a classroom support staff using the Teacher Dollar Tracker) to record the earnings called out each time they use the phrase, “Nice work earning a participation dollar,” and distribute the virtual earnings. It is also a good practice to call out the amounts each student has earned throughout the lesson plan, not just at the end of it. By checking your Dollar Tracker during the lesson, you will see which students have had opportunities to earn dollars and which students still need to be engaged. This allows for teachers to adjust instruction to ensure that all students are given opportunities to participate.
