Workplace Behavior

Objective

Students will practice setting and monitoring a personal New Year goal by reviewing their habits, selecting a realistic goal, and tracking their progress using a graph. Students will record their goals, chart their progress over time, and identify steps they can take to stay on track. Through this activity, students will develop goal-setting, self-monitoring, and data interpretation skills while strengthening planning, responsibility, and personal growth.

Directions for this Extension Activity:
In this activity, students will review their personal New Year goal and track their progress over time. Students will reflect on an area they want to improve, such as speaking and listening, increasing successful workplace behaviors or decreasing problematic workplace behaviors. They will record their goal by writing it or selecting from provided options. Students will then regularly track their progress using numbers, checkmarks, or ratings and represent that progress on a graph. Finally, they will reflect on their growth and identify steps they can take to stay on track or adjust their plan. This activity supports goal-setting, self-monitoring, data representation, and reflection skills while helping students build responsibility and perseverance.

Duration: ~15 minutes* [will vary based on students' level of need]
