Job Application
Objective:
Students will apply their skills by completing a job application in a structured, real-world activity. They will practice transition skills such as identifying jobs that match their interests, filling out application forms accurately, and following submission steps. This activity helps build independence, attention to detail, and readiness for employment by simulating the job search and application process.
Directions for this Extension Activity:
In this activity, students will review job postings for three different positions and select one that best matches their interests and skills. They will then complete a job application for their chosen position, carefully filling in all required information such as personal details, availability, education, and any relevant experience. Students will be expected to follow directions, stay organized, and complete all sections to the best of their ability, demonstrating effort and attention to detail.
Duration: ~15 minutes* [will vary based on students' level of need]

Incorporating Bankability:
Throughout this activity, students can earn dollars for staying on task, completing their Job Application, presenting to the class, and helping their peers during the activity. This encourages participation, positive behavior, and peer support. Current Bankability users can integrate these earnings into their classroom economy. No Bankability account?
