
Eat Your Veggies Day
Objective
Students will demonstrate their persuasive communication skills and the benefits of healthy eating as they work collaboratively to design an engaging poster for National Eat Your Veggies Day. Given a team-based poster assignment, students will apply creative thinking, persuasive writing, and design skills to encourage others to eat their vegetables. Students will use collaboration and communication to create a clear, colorful, and convincing message that promotes making healthy food choices.
Directions for this Extension Activity:
In this activity, students will work collaboratively to design and create a poster to persuade others to eat vegetables. Students will use text and images to encourage others to eat healthy. Students will pay close attention to detail and think creatively as they create their poster. Students will practice their communication skills by sharing their completed project with the class.
Duration: 25 minutes* [will vary based on students' level of need]
