PBIS : MVP Model

Level 1: PBIS MVP Model

Unit 1: Getting Started

Welcome! This unit is designed for teachers who are brand new to Bankability and need the big picture. Start here to learn what the Level 1 model is, who it is for, and how to begin with simple, effective routines.

Level 1 Overview

Level 1: PBIS MVP Model gives teachers a simple, effective way to implement a classroom economy that reinforces positive behavior and builds student accountability without adding unnecessary complexity.

This model focuses on what works most consistently in general education classrooms:

  • Awarding dollars during instruction
  • Running simple, consistent payroll
  • Reinforcing positive behaviors
  • Providing meaningful rewards

It is streamlined, flexible, and easy to maintain.

What is the MVP Model?

The MVP (Minimum Viable Practice) Model is the simplest version of Bankability implementation that still delivers strong results.

Instead of doing everything at once, the MVP model focuses on a few high-impact practices:

  • Reinforcing behaviors in real time
  • Creating consistency through routines
  • Building student motivation with rewards
  • Connecting behavior to outcomes

Start small. Stay consistent. Build from there.

Who This Model is For

This model is ideal for:

  • General education classrooms
  • Teachers new to PBIS or classroom economies
  • Classrooms with limited time for implementation
  • Teachers who want structure without overwhelm

If you are looking for something that is easy to start, easy to maintain, and effective right away, this model is for you.
